WHY A 5 DAY PROGRAM?
Fasting programs can last anywhere from 3, 5 and even 10 days. Most commom programs last between 3-5 days  because 10 day programs are more difficult to follow and do require close supervision by a physician. A 3 day fast helps the body eliminate toxins and cleanses the blood. A 5 day program helps to heal and rebuild the immune system.
 
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM FASTING?
A number of symptoms as your body heals and works to release the toxins from your system. These symptoms can include: fatigue, dry scaly skin, dizziness, headaches, diarrhea, body odor, body aches, insomnia, sinus and bronchial mucus discharge. These are all common signs during a fast and are not usually serious. Consider it a well needed oil change.
  
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I FAST?
The need to fast varies between individuals. However, a rule of thumb, is to fast during the beginning of each change in season and pre and post any change in eating habits (diet).
 
JUICE FASTING RECIPE:
A fast can be augmented with fresh fruit or vegetable juice. Orange and tomato juice should be avoided as well as any juices made with sweeteners or other additives. Only organic fruits and vegetables should be used. Juice and combine the following into a blender:
  • 3 Organic Carrots
  • 1/4 bunch of Parsley
  • 1/2 head of Cabbage
  • 2 Celery Stalks
  • 1/2 Garlic Clove
  • 1 Turnip
  • 3 Kale Leaves
  • 1/4 Onion
  • 1/4 lb of Spinach
  • 2 Beets
  • 1 slice of Ginger
